Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Field Engineer with ADNOC experience and expertise in the EPC Oil & Gas sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and commissioning of process systems ensuring compliance with project specifications and contributing to the safe and efficient delivery of Oil & Gas facilities. This role requires extensive field engineering experience specifically with ADNOC operations as well as a strong understanding of process engineering in the EPC.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide process engineering support during the installation, commissioning and startup phases of oil & gas facilities.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the field team and the project management team.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot process system performance and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Leverage prior experience working with ADNOC's standards, specifications and procedures for field operations.
  • Ensure all process systems are designed and installed in compliance with ADNOC's safety, environmental and operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with the design team to review and ensure that process systems are designed as per client specifications and industry standards.
  • Perform process simulations, calculations and design verifications for the field installation.
  • Supervise field activities related to process systems ensuring proper installation and operation of equipment.
  • Coordinate with construction teams to resolve field issues and ensure smooth commissioning tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental (HSE) regulations during the project.
  • Participate in safety audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed reports including progress reports, issue logs and change orders.
  • Review and approve as-built drawings and technical documentation.
  • Lead the commissioning and startup activities for process systems ensuring that all systems are fully functional and meet performance criteria.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting during the startup phase.
  • Interface with project teams, contractors and subcontractors to ensure that all activities are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Facilitate meetings with ADNOC representatives and other stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain alignment on project goals.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10–15 years of relevant experience as a Process Field Engineer in the Oil & Gas EPC sector.
  • Prior experience working with ADNOC (Abu Dhabi National Oil Company) or other similar oil & gas operators is essential.
  • Proven experience in process design, field operations, commissioning and troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of process engineering principles in the context of Oil & Gas.
  • Experience with field installations, commissioning and startups of process systems.
  • Familiarity with ADNOC's operational standards, HSE guidelines and project management procedures.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills with the ability to handle complex field challenges.
  • Proficiency in process simulation software and other engineering tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with cross‑functional teams.
  • Certifications related to HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are a plus.
