Job summary

A global engineering company is seeking a Senior Process Engineer with over 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. This role is focused on Brownfield modifications and technical procurement activities and requires strong knowledge of process simulation software like Aspen and HYSYS. Candidates must be degree qualified in Chemical Engineering and possess exceptional problem-solving and report writing skills. The position is a 6-month fixed-term contract based in Dubai.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10+ years in process/chemical engineering in upstream/oil and gas.
• Experience in development/updating of P&IDs and Safe Charts.
• Ability to perform Brownfield detailed design calculations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update P&IDs and Safe Charts.
• Perform detailed design calculations including valve sizing.
• Attend and close out multiple PHA/HAZOP actions.

• Must have working knowledge and experience of oil and gas industry codes, specifications and practices.
• Experience of process simulation software such as Aspen, HYSYS and preferable also PIPESIM, Flarenet.
• Experience in following areas required as a minimum:
  • Development/updating of P&IDs, Safe Charts / C&E diagrams.
  • Performing Brownfield detailed design calculations included valve and PSV sizing’s, line sizing, pump calculations, etc.

Educational Qualifications

• Must be degree qualified from a recognised university in Chemical Engineering.
