Senior ICT Engineer

As a Senior ICT Engineer you will be at the forefront of designing and developing innovative ICT solutions that ensure seamless interconnectivity and robust infrastructure. The role emphasizes the creation of advanced designs for telecommunications network systems and ICT infrastructure to support complex project requirements. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high‑quality designs and solutions that align with regulatory standards and project specifications, playing a key role in the conceptualization and detailed design stages of ICT and Smart City projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of ICT infrastructure systems focusing on fiber optics network topologies and ducting frameworks to ensure high‑performance, scalable and secure solutions.
• Develop comprehensive solutions for complex ICT challenges including the design of robust network systems, interconnectivity strategies and scalable frameworks to support ICT security and Smart City requirements.
• Engage with clients, project managers and cross‑functional teams to capture detailed requirements and deliver design solutions that meet technical specifications, business needs and future scalability.
• Ensure all design solutions are compliant with relevant industry standards such as ISO, TIA/EIA and local regulatory frameworks including SIRA regulations, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Prepare detailed design documentation including schematics, diagrams, technical reports and network topology maps providing clear and concise deliverables to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Provide design leadership and mentor junior engineers, ensuring high‑quality cutting‑edge solutions are delivered consistently. Foster an environment of technical excellence in design.

Key Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 years of experience in ICT design and solutions engineering with a strong focus on telecommunications and network architecture.
• Deep knowledge of ICT infrastructure design, fiber‑optic networks and system interconnectivity solutions. Experience with large‑scale design projects for ICT and security systems is highly desirable.
• Expertise in developing innovative practical solutions for complex ICT challenges through critical thinking, risk analysis and problem‑solving.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to present and defend design solutions to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Industry certifications such as CCDA, CCDP, CCNP, PMP or other relevant design‑focused certifications are advantageous.
