Senior Electrical Engineer – Business Development
Key Responsibilities
  • 1.Lead and supervise multi-disciplinary engineering teams on SCADA, automation, and electrical system projects.
  • 2.Oversee design, development, and implementation of high / medium / low voltage systems, control panels, PLC / SCADA, and instrumentation.
  • 3.Ensure compliance with local and international electrical codes and safety standards (DEWA, ADDC, IEC, etc.).
  • 4.Manage project timelines, budgets, and quality control for engineering deliverables.
  • 5.Mentor junior engineers and technicians, building a high-performance engineering team.
  • 6.Coordinate with procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • 7.Conduct technical reviews and risk assessments for ongoing and new projects.
  • 8.Identify and pursue new business opportunities in utilities, energy, and infrastructure sectors across the UAE.
  • 9.Build and maintain strong client relationships with government entities, contractors, and consultants.
  • 10.Prepare and deliver technical presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.
  • 11.Lead tendering, pricing, and contract negotiations for major projects.
  • 12.Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in the energy, utilities, and industrial automation sectors.
  • 13.Lead go-to-market strategies for SCADA, control systems, and digital solutions aligned with Industry 4.0 / 4.2.
  • 14.Analyze market trends and customer needs in renewable energy, smart grids, and digital transformation projects.
  • 15.Develop and maintain high-level relationships with government utilities (DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, etc.), EPCs, consultants, and industrial clients.
  • 16.Deliver technical-commercial proposals, lead negotiations, and close contracts.
  • 17.Organize technical workshops, solution demos, and presentations to decision-makers.
Solution Development & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • 19.Collaborate with engineering, R&D, and product teams to align offerings with market needs.
  • 20.Translate customer requirements into tailored automation, protection, or SCADA solutions.
  • 21.Support tenders and proposals with technical insight and commercial positioning.
  • 22.Lead or support regional sales teams and agents across the GCC.
  • 23.Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and market analysis reports for executive management.
  • 24.Represent the company in exhibitions, conferences, and strategic forums.
Requirements
  • 1.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems / Automation preferred).
  • 2.10+ years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on SCADA, automation, and utilities projects in the UAE / Gulf region.
  • 3.Proven experience in team leadership, project management, and business development.
  • 4.In-depth knowledge of UAE market, regulations (e.g., DEWA, ADDC, SEWA), and client landscape.
  • 5.Strong understanding of PLCs, HMI, SCADA platforms (e.g., Siemens, Schneider, ABB, Honeywell).
  • 6.Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • 7.UAE driving license preferred.
  • 8.Strong exposure to UAE and GCC utility markets and related regulations (DEWA, TRANSCO, SEC, etc.).
  • 9.Knowledge of SCADA (e.g., Siemens WinCC, ABB, Schneider), PLC / DCS, RTU, IEDs, energy metering, and grid integration.
  • 10.Understanding of Industry 4.0 / 4.2 (edge computing, IIoT, AI / ML in automation, digital twins).
  • 11.Proven sales record with multimillion-dirham deals or strategic partnerships.
