Job Summary:

This position has overall responsibility for the financial and technical success of the project, with general autonomy. It involves all phases of project planning and execution for very large projects (typically less than $500 million in total installed cost). The role includes planning, organizing, coordinating, and controlling domestic and international projects in accordance with company policies, procedures, systems, and requirements. The Senior Design Manager is responsible for day-to-day client contact and communication, focusing on client satisfaction.

Alternatively, the role may involve managing and contracting performance for two or more smaller projects. The position requires industry knowledge and supervises project personnel through subordinate leaders. The Senior Design Manager may also serve as the proposal manager for major domestic and international project proposals. This role is independently accountable for a major profit/loss center.
