A leading maritime services provider in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Data Center Manager to oversee operations and security measures in the data center. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and providing hands-on support for data center solutions, ensuring optimal operating time and security protocols. The ideal candidate will have experience in data center management and strong analytical skills. This role is vital for accurate data handling and reporting, targeting internal and external stakeholders.
Provide direct orders to operators for deploying data and system security measures across all DC’s business units
Supervise and monitor all data center solutions, including troubleshooting and hands-on support to make sure the internal and external customers are provided with optimal operating time
Proper implementation, racking and servicing of the equipment in the data center including servers, storage arrays and network switches, as well as cabling, printers and consoles
Provide timely, accurate and consistent technical and digital infrastructure services to all internal and external DC staff
Analyse and determine the appropriate layout for all equipment in the data center
Monitor all activities related to analysis and implement all data center plans
Ensure proper security protocols are enabled for all the equipment and systems in the data center
Support the development of DC’s program requirements and review documents to ensure business, functional and technical requirements are complete and consistent with the DC’s policies
Provide expertise and consultation to internal and external DC staff at AD Ports on all aspects of data exchange, data access, data usage, data storage and data retention or archiving
Develop necessary controls to ensure that the data collected is accurate, valid, granular, complete and consistent
Prepare management reports of support services of IT systems and supervise the maintenance of records of data center supplies by DC’s data center staff
