Job Details

Seeking Secondary Science (Physics) Teacher for Sharjah, Aug '26 Start. Start Date: August 2026. Curriculum: IB MYP / IB DP / Australian. Contract: 2 years. Salary: Competitive and tax free, dependent on experience.

Responsibilities

You will be expected to teach Physics within the Secondary School (typically Grade 9 to Grade 12). Experience delivering engaging, inquiry‑based science lessons and developing strong conceptual understanding aligned with the IB MYP and/or IB DP frameworks is highly desirable.

Qualifications

Applicants must be qualified teachers, holding degree‑level certification in Physics or Science and QTS or equivalent. You should have at least 2 years of post‑qualification teaching experience in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Ireland, USA, or Canada.

  • Experience teaching IB MYP and/or IB Diploma Programme Physics is highly desirable.
  • Australian curriculum experience is highly sought after; however, teachers with alternative curriculum experience who can evidence excellent teaching practice are also encouraged to apply.
  • Previous international teaching experience is welcomed.
  • Previous EAL teaching experience is also highly desirable.
