Maharam Sales Representative

Job Title: Sales Representative

Department: Sales

Job Summary

Responsible for selling Edelman Knoll Textiles and Maharam products to the A&D community, furniture and panel dealers, end users, and residential clients within the GCC.

Essential Functions

  1. Strategically manage existing territory and account list; develop new business opportunities in the emerging GCC market.
  2. Build and maintain relationships with clients to ensure brand awareness and project consideration.
  3. Present and promote textile and product lines; provide product information, develop pricing strategies, and coordinate delivery within project schedules.
  4. Maintain and update client database and resource libraries.
  5. Collaborate with inside sales support.
  6. Support and secure project specifications from within the territory and globally outside the GCC.
  7. Evening entertainment may be required.
  8. Must have a car.

Reporting Structure

  • This position reports to a US-based Regional Sales Manager and may receive additional directives from the VP of Sales.

Contacts

  • External contacts include specifying clients, purchasing customers, and end users.
  • Internal contacts include departments like Resource Management, Quality Assurance, Credit, Key Client Services, Sales Management, International Logistics, and Sales Reps/support across offices.
  • Interaction within MillerKnoll Dubai is also expected.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills; social and engaging in group and one-on-one settings.
  • Comfortable entertaining clients outside of work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving confidence, especially regarding pricing, delivery, quality, or installation issues.
  • Organized, capable of multitasking, and understanding complex product, project, and client information.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to adhere to Maharam protocols independently.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Teams, Word) and capable of learning Maharam-specific software.

Education and Experience

A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Interior Design is preferred. 2-4 years of sales experience is preferred.
