Position Overview :
The Sales Executive’s primary purpose is to maximize the hotel's sales revenue by proactively attracting and securing new business opportunities. He / she is responsible for creating and maintaining strong relationships with clients, meeting their needs, and exceeding their expectations to promote repeat business.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve individual revenue goals and increase market share.
- Develop strategies to capture new business opportunities from local Corporate accounts (FITs & Groups), as well as DMCs (leisure groups).
- Generate and maintain customers of defined accounts through sales activities (face to face calls, telephone calls, site inspections etc.).
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with local DMCs (leisure groups) and develop Corporate FIT & Group segment for the hotel.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences, and use the insights to set-up sales and marketing strategies, to be shared and discussed with the Director of Sales & Marketing.
- Monthly rate shopping of competitors to be completed and shared with the DOSM.
- To maintain a high level of exposure for the hotel through direct sales and other ways of communication.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking activities to build brand awareness, expand professional networks, and generate new business leads.
- Monitor own sales performance, analyze sales data, and generate regular reports to evaluate progress, identify areas for improvement, and recommend corrective actions. Closely monitoring of own accounts performance and production from managed accounts.
- Develop and negotiate sales contracts and pricing agreements with clients to maximize revenue and profitability while maintaining strong customer satisfaction.
- To ensure that selling strategies are adhered to during negotiations and maximizing selling opportunities wherever possible.
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure smooth handover of bookings, efficient guest service delivery, and seamless event execution.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge about the resort's facilities, services, promotions, and local attractions to effectively communicate with customers and address their needs.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, legal requirements, and ethical standards to ensure compliance in all sales activities.
- Handle site inspections with individual clients or groups (if required also on weekends / evenings).
- Daily and weekly reports to be submitted in a timely manner as requested by Director of Sales & Marketing.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience within the hospitality industry in a resort / leisure segment.
- Strong network of contacts within the corporate and event planning sectors in Dubai and the GCC.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
