Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Resident Engineer – Wet Services to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, installation, and maintenance of wet services systems in various construction projects throughout the region.

• Develop and review wet services engineering designs, including plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to integrate wet services systems into overall project designs
• Conduct site inspections to monitor installation progress and quality of wet services systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to wet services on construction sites
• Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and drawingsi>
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians
• Stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in wet services engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in wet services engineering, with a focus on plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems
• Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
• Proven experience in construction site supervision and project management
• Strong knowledge of UAE building codes and regulations related to wet services
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Familiarity with construction industry practices in the UAE
• Willingness to travel to various project sites within Abu Dhabi and the surrounding areas
