Job Description

The Resident Engineer (I&C) will provide technical supervision and oversight of all Instrumentation and Control works executed by the contractor for the project. The role ensures that all installations, testing, commissioning, and system integration activities comply with project specifications, standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor contractor's I&C works, including instrumentation installation, PLC / SCADA systems, RTUs, fiber communication, and control panels.
• Review and approve I&C shop drawings, method statements, material submissions, and test procedures.
• Ensure all works comply with project specifications, QA / QC requirements, and international standards (ISA / IEC).
• Witness and supervise testing, calibration, loop checks, and commissioning of I&C systems.
• Coordinate I&C interfaces with mechanical, electrical, civil, and SCADA teams.
• Prepare inspection reports, track progress, and highlight any technical or quality issues.
• Ensure contractor adherence to safety procedures during I&C activities.
• Support technical issue resolution and verify completeness of as-built I&C documentation.

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation & Control, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years' experience in I&C supervision for water pump stations or utility infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of PLC / SCADA systems, field instrumentation, VFD interfaces, and communication networks.
• Experience in engineering consultancy and construction supervision.
• Previous TAQA approval (preferred)
