Job summary

A prominent construction firm in Dubai is seeking an experienced reinforcement detailer to prepare shop drawings and provide technical support during construction. The ideal candidate has over 8 years of relevant experience in high-rise buildings in the GCC and proficiency in AutoCAD. Strong knowledge of reinforcement standards and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of relevant drafting experience in the GCC, specifically in high-rise buildings.
• Strong knowledge of reinforcement detailing practices, standards, and codes (BS, ACI, etc.).
• Ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare reinforcement shop drawings details and bar bending schedules (BBS) for structural elements such as slabs, beams, columns, cores, and foundations.
• Interpret structural and architectural drawings to generate accurate rebar detailing.
• Ensure drawings are compliant with local codes, project specifications, and structural design intent.
• Coordinate with structural engineers, site engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve drawing-related issues.
• Revise and update drawings as per site conditions and consultant/client comments.
• Maintain organized documentation and filing of all reinforcement drawings and revisions.
• Assist in quantity takeoffs and material estimation related to reinforcement.
• Work closely with the construction team to provide technical support during construction.
• Participate in internal and external meetings to discuss technical drawing aspects.

Key Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or Drafting Technology.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant drafting experience in the GCC, specifically in high-rise buildings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, CADS RC, or similar reinforcement detailing software.
• Strong knowledge of reinforcement detailing practices, standards, and codes (BS, ACI, etc.).
