A leading engineering firm in Dubai is seeking an experienced Drafting Engineer with at least 8 years in drafting for high-rise buildings in the GCC. Candidates should possess a Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or Drafting Technology, with proficiency in AutoCAD and substantial knowledge of reinforcement detailing. The role involves preparing shop drawings, interpreting designs, collaborating with engineers, and assisting with material estimation. A strong skill set in communication and coordination is essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare reinforcement shop drawings details and bar bending schedules (BBS) for structural elements such as slabs beams columns cores and foundations.
• Interpret structural and architectural drawings to generate accurate rebar detailing.
• Ensure drawings are compliant with local codes project specifications and structural design intent.
• Coordinate with structural engineers site engineers and other stakeholders to resolve drawingrelated issues.
• Revise and update drawings as per site conditions and consultant/client comments.
• Maintain organized documentation and filing of all reinforcement drawings and revisions.
• Assist in quantity takeoffs and material estimation related to reinforcement.
• Work closely with the construction team to provide technical support during .
• Participate in internal and external meetings to discuss technical drawing aspects

Key Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or Drafting Technology.
