The Registered Nurse (NICU) provides high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients, particularly in neonatal intensive care settings, and supports their families. They ensure care aligns with DOH/DHA and organizational standards. The NICU nurse works as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, evidence-based, and family-centered care.

Responsibilities
  • Adheres to division policies, regulatory compliance, and promotes operational efficiency through continuous improvement.
  • Participates in professional meetings, maintains confidentiality, and completes performance evaluations promptly.
  • Conducts initial nursing assessments, plans and evaluates patient care, considering socioeconomic and cultural factors.
  • Provides advanced care and monitoring in neonatal intensive care units.
  • Manages medication administration and ensures a safe environment aligned with clinical guidelines and hospital policies.
  • Engages in research, audits, and service initiatives to enhance patient safety and quality care, providing supervision and staff development.
  • Meets professional growth needs through continuous education, maintaining CME hours per DOH/DHA regulations.
  • Communicates effectively with team members, demonstrating proficiency in medical records, digital healthcare systems, and drug calculations.
  • Utilizes clinical equipment efficiently, monitors medical store safety, and documents care per organizational guidelines.
  • Facilitates patient education, addresses concerns, and ensures smooth transitions through different levels of care.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing with an active DOH license.
  • 3-5 years’ of experience post qualification in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
