Project Planning & Coordination
- Coordinate QA/QC requirements with MEP engineering and construction teams across all zones.
- Review and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and QA/QC procedures.
- Ensure inspection and testing readiness aligned with project schedules and milestones.
Budget & Cost Control
- Minimize rework, defects, and material wastage through proactive quality control.
- Identify quality-related risks that could impact cost or schedule.
- Provide technical input on NCRs, variations, and rectification works to commercial teams.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure MEP works comply with IFC drawings, specifications, contracts, and authority standards (DEWA, DCD, ADDC, SEWA, etc.).
- Lead internal and external quality audits and manage corrective and preventive actions.
- Review and approve material submittals, supplier documentation, and certification packages.
Risk Management
- Identify quality risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Manage NCRs, CARs, punch lists, and ensure timely closure.
- Escalate unresolved technical quality issues to senior management when required.
Leadership & Communication
- Lead and manage the QA/QC MEP team with clear delegation and guidance.
- Coordinate inspections and testing with consultants, clients, and third-party agencies.
- Ensure clear communication of quality standards and expectations across the project.
Primary Deliverables
- Accurate and timely submission of QA/QC documentation, reports, and data.
- Completion of assigned responsibilities efficiently and within budget.
Secondary Deliverables
- Timely quality-related input and technical support to other departments and stakeholders.
General Responsibilities
- Comply with company policies, code of conduct, and confidentiality requirements.
- Ensure full compliance with QHSE policies and procedures.
- Submit balanced scorecards accurately and on time.
- Maintain supporting documentation for KPI and BSC performance tracking.
Qualifications & Experience – Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (mandatory).
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification (preferred).
- Membership in professional bodies (ASHRAE, NFPA, IEEE) is an advantage.
Qualifications & Experience – Experience
- 2–4 years in a similar QA/QC MEP role.
- 6–8 years total industry experience.
- Experience on large‑scale projects (AED 500M+ preferred).
- Experience working with consultants or EPC contractors in the GCC.
Technical & Professional Skills
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, ELV, fire protection.
- Thorough understanding of QA/QC processes, inspections, and testing protocols.
- Knowledge of international standards and UAE authority requirements.
