Job description

PipeCare Group of companies has been helping customers ensure the integrity of their pipeline and facility assets for over 20 years. PipeCare Group is looking for an experienced Purchased Officer who will be responsible for working with suppliers, following up on deliveries, clearing ports and borders, and handling issues related to municipalities and main suppliers for concentrate, raw materials, spare parts, and Marketing Equipment Management parts.

Key Responsibilities & Authorities

• Handling Purchasing
• Receiving store materials
• Submitting GRN to accounts
• Attending purchasing-related audits
• Meeting with suppliers
• Handling petty cash procurement
• Requesting transportation from logistics for delivery & material exit
• Sending RFQ & collecting quotes
• Creating purchase requisitions
• Creating item codes
• Creating purchase orders
• Following up on approval requests with accounts
• Providing feedback on LPO concerns such as price discrepancies and payment terms
• Following up on delivery with suppliers
• Requesting pre-payment from accounts
• Preparing price comparisons for account approval
• Following up on payments with accounts
• Searching for new suppliers
• Registering suppliers & getting approval from QC
• Requesting supplier creation from accounts
• Updating the approved supplier list
• Filing all purchase orders and quotes for audits
• Negotiating with suppliers on delivery times, discounts, and payment terms
• Reconciling MTC / DO / Invoices for QC & Accounts
• Creating work orders

Skills / Experience :

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Supply Chain
• Experience in international purchasing
• Postgraduate with 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Preferably experience in Manufacturing, FMCG, or Automotive industries
• Good market knowledge (customers, systems, providers)
• Proficiency in English
• Knowledge of ERP systems

Physical and Mental Requirements :

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to walk and climb in refinery or plant environments, including access via ladders and stairwells
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to focus and multitask
• Willingness to wear safety equipment as required
• Sufficient mobility and reflexes to perform office duties and travel as needed
