The Role

Reports to the Senior Project Manager/Project Director for ensuring delivery of one or more project sites.

Project Description

KBR has been appointed under a framework agreement with the largest developer in Abu Dhabi to oversee a diverse portfolio of projects that contribute to Abu Dhabi's growth. This includes developing essential infrastructure such as transportation networks and utilities, alongside public spaces and involving also the shaping of thriving communities by managing the development of residential housing projects and ensuring the quality of new educational facilities, together with the development of mosques and maximizing urban space through infill development projects. This PMC role offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on Abu Dhabi's built environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Supporting the Senior Project Manager/Project Director in the management of all aspects of delivering one or more projects as part of the programme management consultant's role on a major programme of infrastructure development works.
  • Management and support of the Site Operations Team ensuring that the project goals and schedule are understood and delivered.
  • Manage delivery of all project construction, coordinating on all logistics, permitting, commissioning and handover activities to ensure delivery of the Project to technical, budget, schedule and quality requirements established for the Project.
  • Interface with all sections of the team to meet overall program deliverables.
  • Development, establishment and execution of standards, policies, procedures and best practices.
  • Liaise with the Technical Team to assist in the development of design solutions that promote constructability and value engineering.
  • Monitoring and reporting on the performance of the construction supervisors and the contractors, including on QHS&E requirements.
Experience, Skills and Knowledge
  • BSc/BEng construction management, Engineering, Architecture or equivalent.
  • Minimum 15 years overall experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in a similar role.
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in the Middle East.
  • Sound knowledge and experience in project management, construction management and practice and the delivery of complex major buildings projects such as residential towers, schools, mixed use and villa developments.
  • Experience and skills of managing teams of at least 15 to 20 persons.
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills and use of MS Office.
  • Fluency in English language both written and spoken. Arabic speaking advantageous.
