Job Description:

Parsons is seeking an exceptionally talented Project Director to lead and oversee all aspects of the development and construction of world‑class theme park and entertainment projects. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all phases of design, construction, and execution, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. As the Project Director, you will collaborate with architects, designers, contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver an immersive and innovative experience for visitors. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting‑edge, high‑profile entertainment projects that leave a lasting legacy in the industry.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Lead and manage the overall theme park project(s), ensuring the successful integration of design, engineering, and construction.
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, resources, and logistics, ensuring smooth execution from concept through to completion.
  • Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, to deliver high‑quality, on‑time results.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that all design and engineering efforts align with the project vision, operational requirements, and safety standards.
  • Ensure that all construction work meets regulatory standards, industry best practices, and safety protocols.
  • Lead efforts to resolve any issues, risks, or challenges that arise during the design or construction phases.
  • Oversee quality control, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship and operational functionality across all project phases.
  • Provide regular progress reports, presentations, and updates to senior leadership and stakeholders, keeping them informed of key milestones and challenges.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project execution, utilizing innovative approaches to optimize cost, schedule, and resource utilization.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to inspire, guide, and manage large, diverse teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interface effectively with executives, stakeholders, and external partners.Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
  • Deep understanding of the unique challenges involved in theme park design and construction, including safety regulations, visitor experience considerations, and large‑scale logistics.
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in large-scale, complex projects, with a focus on theme parks, entertainment venues, or similar large mixed-use projects, ideally in the UAE.
  • Ideal candidate has experience in delivery of large scale entertainment and/or mixed-use developments in Abu Dhabi and/or the GCC region.
  • Proven experience managing large, multidisciplinary teams through all phases of a theme park or entertainment development project.Strong track record of successful delivery in theme park projects, including coordinating construction, design, and operational readiness.
  • Experience with managing contractors, vendors, and external stakeholders involved in high-profile entertainment projects.
  • Deep understanding of industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to theme park design and construction.
