Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated academic professional for the role of Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Business. The position involves delivering effective teaching, contributing to academic programme development, engaging in research and scholarly activities, and supporting student learning in line with CAA standards, institutional policies, and higher education best practices.
Core Responsibilities
Academic Delivery
- Deliver undergraduate and/or postgraduate Business modules in accordance with approved academic frameworks and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare course plans, learning materials, assessments, and instructional resources aligned with programme learning outcomes.
- Employ engaging, learner-centred teaching and assessment methodologies to enhance student achievement.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of course documentation, assessment records, and academic files in compliance with institutional and CAA requirements.
Programme Development & Quality Assurance
- Support curriculum development, review cycles, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in internal and external academic audits, accreditation exercises, and quality assurance activities.
- Ensure compliance with assessment regulations, academic policies, and integrity standards.
Research & Scholarly Contribution
- Contribute to scholarly output through research publications in recognised academic journals.
- Participate in research projects, conferences, and academic collaborations.
- Supervise student research projects where applicable.
- Adhere to institutional research governance and ethical standards.
Student Engagement & Support
- Provide academic advising, mentoring, and academic support to students.
- Monitor academic progress and provide timely, developmental feedback.
- Participate in assessment moderation, grading, and evaluation processes.
- Address academic‑related matters in accordance with institutional procedures.
Institutional Service
- Contribute to departmental and institutional committees and working groups.
- Support academic planning and quality enhancement initiatives.
- Assist in mentoring junior academic staff and contributing to professional development activities.
- Engage in outreach, industry collaboration, or community initiatives where relevant.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- PhD in Business, Management, or a closely related discipline from a recognised institution.
- Minimum 5–10 years of academic experience in higher education (designation dependent).
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
- Research output or demonstrated potential for scholarly publication.
- Knowledge of CAA accreditation requirements and quality assurance frameworks.
- Strong commitment to student‑centred teaching and academic excellence.
Preferred
- Experience within the UAE or GCC higher education sector.
- Postgraduate research supervision experience.
- Experience in programme coordination, curriculum leadership, or academic administration.
