We are looking for a Production Superintendent to join one of our projects in Abu Sabhi.

Mission
  • Responsible for the safe, efficient and correct commissioning, start-up and operation of the Production Plant, process, gas compression systems, machinery, equipment, Central Control Room (CCR) and process instrumentation
Tasks

General Tasks - all phases :

  • Operate process plant safely / efficiently in line with corporate policies / procedures
  • Promote / implement Company QHSE Policies
  • Implement / maintain / review Company QHSE Management system
  • Report / investigate Accident / Incident, Near Misses, unsafe acts / conditions, HSE Non Conformities / other issues with safety impacts
  • Carry out duties during emergency situation, as detailed in the Emergency Response Procedures
  • Know Permit to Work System and act as Area Authority for process plant
  • Conversant with Isolation Philosophy, Risk Assessment, Job Safety Analysis requirements
  • Supports HSE Manager preparing HSE plan / procedures
  • Ensures activities within area of responsibilities are done in compliance with HSE requirements
  • Contributes to Safety Walkdowns. In case of incidents contributes to investigations
  • Participates to HAZOP review
  • Participate to Pre Start-up Safety Reviews (PSSR)
Commis.&Start-up Phase
  • Prepares shift schedule of production staff of his Operating Area
  • Follow up mechanical completion / Comm. planning, status / activities
  • Issues progress reports within area of responsibility
  • Directs Pre-Comm., Comm., Start-up & Operation activities according to approved procedures within own Operating Area
  • Coordinates Licensor / Vendors at site within own operating area
  • Approves work orders as per Permit to Work procedure to enable execution of scheduled works
  • Lead preparation of supervisors / operators for Comm. / Start-up and normal operation through training / tasks. Report gaps that need to be bridged
  • Responsible for implementation of mechanical / electrical / process isolation control through Blinding and De-blinding Register, Switch Board locking / unlocking Register and Process Control Protection System Override Register
  • Evaluates plant performance during Comm. / Start-up and, in liaison with Technical staff, check performance meets expectations / studies optimizations
Operat. Phase
  • Ensure personnel training for production department
  • Assess competence of Production personnel
  • Manage day-to-day disciplinary / performance issues for Production dept.
  • Prepare / implement / controls process procedures in line with safety standards
  • Maintain working relationships with Superintendents / Supervisors
  • Plan / anticipate spare parts, consumables, chemical / other material requirements together with Superintendents
  • Ensure planned maintenance requirements are undertaken in line with manufacturers recommendations / operating experience in a timely manner (PMS computerized system)
  • Prepare / follow up / close out vendor assistance in production systems
  • Responsible for matters related to laboratory testing / analysis / direct the Laboratory technicians
  • Liaise with Client for safe / optimal operations of process plant
  • Ensure logs are maintained for Process Plant. Audit production dept. registers / records
  • Administer / monitor Code of Safe Handling of Hazardous substances / maintain product data sheets on file
Pre-Operat. Phase
  • Prepares Comm., Start-up and hand-over procedures according to project specifications
  • Verifies Comm.& Start-up requirements are accounted in engineering documents
  • Participate in operating instructions preparation
  • Participate in project planning
  • Ensure refurbishment / conversion works to Production Systems are of a standard suitable for design life with uninterrupted service. (include workmanship, materials, operability and Class requirements)
  • Ensure commissioning activities are performed in compliance with plans and that, for each system, acceptance documents (e.g. completion check lists, test reports, start-up reports, hand-over protocols) are signed off by authorized personnel
  • Assure Production Personnel is trained, define / implement training plan
  • Prepare / follow-up punch list items to ensure work completion
  • Assist Maintenance Dept. in Planned Maintenance Database data entry
  • Participate / review the Production Operating Manual
  • Participate / review process equipment HAZOP / HAZID
Minimum Requirements
  • At least 5 years of offshore experience
  • FPSO experience is a must
  • Professional (fully fluent) knowledge of Portugese is required
