About the Role

The Product Engineer – DX role is responsible for managing the end-to-end product lifecycle for assigned product lines, from market study and specification development through product launch and post-launch support. The role works closely with R&D, Sales, After Sales, Certification, Marketing, and Factory teams to ensure products meet market requirements, regulatory standards, and commercial objectives.

How You Will Make an Impact
Product Development
  • Initiate new product development requests by collecting market intelligence, competitive analysis, sales input, potential volumes, pricing benchmarks, and technical specifications.
  • Manage product lifecycle from concept to launch, including feature prioritization, user research, and after-sales feedback.
  • Conduct detailed technical and market comparison studies against competitors and propose optimized product specifications.
  • Coordinate with Sales and After Sales teams to collect LCQM and field feedback and report findings to management.
  • Review and align technical proposals received from R&D with market requirements and negotiate specifications where required.
  • Finalize product specifications and features with regional sales teams prior to development approval.
  • Propose FOB target prices aligned with product features, capacities, and competitive market positioning.
  • Finalize PPS documentation with R&D to formally initiate product development with factories.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with R&D teams and provide structured progress updates to management.
  • Support R&D by arranging competitor samples for teardown and benchmarking analysis when required.
  • Coordinate with Certification teams on performance, functional, EMC, CB testing, and labeling requirements in line with regional regulations.
Product Support
  • Provide technical support to Sales teams and coordinate with factories to ensure timely responses to product-related queries.
  • Maintain a centralized database of technical queries and manage the assigned product portfolio for the sales region.
  • Monitor and manage product lifecycle transitions and communicate timelines to Sales and Service teams.
  • Ensure product compliance with regional regulations and government requirements in coordination with Certification teams.
  • Manage product end-of-life activities due to regulatory changes, ensuring stock liquidation within defined timelines.
  • Update and maintain selection software to support Sales and Application teams with new product ranges.
Product Launch
  • Prepare preliminary product catalogues based on initial specifications and data to support early spec-in activities.
  • Develop final sales catalogues including capacity tables, electrical data, features, dimensions, and technical specifications.
  • Coordinate product code creation, material master setup, and pricing uploads in SAP and CRM systems.
  • Prepare product presentations and deliver training sessions to Sales, Application teams, and distributors.
  • Ensure availability of Databooks, IOMs, Service Manuals, and Spare Parts lists in coordination with R&D prior to market launch.
  • Coordinate with Certification teams to ensure all approvals and certifications are completed before product importation.
What You Need to Succeed
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product engineering, product management, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC or related technical products, market dynamics, and regulatory standards.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong analytical and market research capabilities.
  • Ability to manage cross‑functional stakeholders and factory coordination.
  • Good understanding of product lifecycle management and pricing strategies.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
