Role Overview

We are looking for a Product Development Manager experienced in the perfume and cosmetics sector to drive the creation of cuttingedge packaging solutions. The ideal candidate will have indepth knowledge of glass and aluminium packaging a finger on the pulse of market trends and a commitment to delivering packaging that sets new industry standards.

This position requires handson collaboration with design engineering marketing sales and supply chain teams to transform innovative packaging ideas into reality while balancing client needs and cost objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Product Conceptualization & Development

• Lead the full cycle of packaging development for fragrances and cosmetics from concept to launch.
• Interpret client briefs and market research into innovative brandaligned packaging concepts.
• Ensure all packaging aligns with both brand identity and current industry trends.

Material Application & Expertise

• Use expertise in glass and aluminium to create packaging that is visually striking functional and manufacturable.
• Champion sustainable material options in response to environmental regulations and consumer demand for ecofriendly solutions.

Trend Analysis & Innovation

• Monitor trends in fragrance and cosmetic packaging materials decoration techniques and consumer preferences.
• Integrate the latest design and material trends into packaging development to keep clients ahead in the market.

Collaboration & Project Management

• Work crossfunctionally with internal teams (designers engineers R&D production) and external suppliers to ensure project feasibility quality and ontime delivery.
• Manage multiple packaging projects simultaneously ensuring deadlines budgets and quality standards are met.

Industry & Client Focus

• Apply deep understanding of perfume and cosmetics industry requirements in all packaging projects.
• Track competitor offerings and new technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
• Present concepts and prototypes to clients providing regular updates and addressing feedback promptly.

Prototyping & Testing

• Oversee the prototyping process and coordinate testing to verify that packaging meets performance specifications.
• Troubleshoot technical challenges related to materials or manufacturing processes.

Qualifications & Experience

• Demonstrated expertise working with glass and aluminium in packaging design.
• At least 8 years in a similar role; 15 years experience in product development for perfume or cosmetics packaging preferred.
• Bachelors degree in Engineering Product Design Material Science or related field (Masters degree preferred).
• Detailed knowledge of fragrance and cosmetic packaging needs: design function durability sustainability.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes for glass and aluminium containers.
• Uptodate on trends in fragrances cosmetics and luxury packaging.
• Strong network within the perfume or cosmetics industry.
