Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Procurement Lead to oversee the end-to-end procurement activities for their production operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies to ensure the cost‑effective, timely, and compliant supply of raw materials, consumables, and services essential for the manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Procurement Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive annual procurement plans and budgets, ensuring alignment with production forecasts and organizational financial targets.
  • Sourcing and Cost Management: Formulate and execute strategic sourcing initiatives to achieve significant annual cost savings. Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal terms.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Lead the end‑to‑end supplier management process, including identification, qualification, onboarding, performance reviews, and contract management for key categories (e.g., wood, resin, laminates, adhesives).
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate closely with Production, Inventory Control, and Planning departments to maintain optimal stock levels and ensure an uninterrupted flow of materials.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct ongoing analysis of market trends, commodity price fluctuations, and supply chain risks to inform strategic purchasing decisions and mitigate disruptions.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), as well as external ISO, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), and sustainability standards.
  • Process Improvement: Utilize ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) to manage procurement data, streamline workflows, digitize processes, and contribute to system enhancement projects.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with Research & Development (R&D) and other cross‑functional teams to source new materials for product development initiative.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field. Master's or certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) a plus.
  • Min 7-10 years of strategic procurement experience in manufacturing; wood, construction materials, or panel board industry experience is essential.
  • Proven track record in strategic sourcing, major contract negotiation, and delivering significant cost savings.
  • Strong financial and market analysis skills, with proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle preferred).
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
