Job description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Consultant to join our healthcare family. In this pivotal position, you will assess, diagnose, and implement treatment plans for patients dealing with a variety of physical impairments and disabilities caused by illness or injury. Your expertise is essential in ensuring our patients receive the best possible care to improve their functionality and enhance their quality of life.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to ascertain their rehabilitation needs and craft tailored treatment goals.
  • Develop and execute individualized rehabilitation plans that may involve therapeutic exercises, interventions, and patient education.
  • Continuously monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and emerging needs.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, to coordinate optimal patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families on rehabilitation processes, expected outcomes, and techniques for self-management.
  • Engage in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with the latest advancements in the field.
  • Participate in clinical research initiatives or quality improvement projects to enhance rehabilitation services.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient assessments and treatment interventions.
  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is required.
  • Active medical license in the state of practice.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in physical medicine and rehabilitation.
  • Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and managing a diverse range of physical disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient and team interactions.
