Responsibilities
- Lead Transition: Oversee the migration from MT to MX messaging formats ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to payment operations.
- Architecture Design: Develop and implement robust payment architecture strategies that support the new MX messaging standards.
- System Integration: Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate MX messaging into existing systems ensuring compatibility and efficiency; responsible along with the development team vendors for identifying design and development tools for most effective delivery of integration development tasks.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure all payment systems comply with SWIFT standards and regulatory requirements.
- Technical Role: Provide technical guidance to development teams ensuring best practices in payment processing and messaging; responsible for technical vendor evaluation and RFPs.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize payment processing systems for performance scalability and reliability.
- Documentation and Training: Create comprehensive documentation and provide training to stakeholders on the new MX messaging standards and processes.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to communicate progress, challenges, and solutions related to the transition and demonstrate the ability to go the extra mile to ensure project success.
Qualifications
- Transition of MT to MX Agile Cloud DevOps Presentation Skills
- Hands‑on knowledge of the latest payment technologies, architecture frameworks, and integration platforms.
- Experience in a business‑facing role demonstrating presentation skills and the ability to communicate with senior management.
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of defining API specifications for REST or web services.
- Knowledge of API and interface governance design standards and principles.
- Experience with cloud deployments (AWS, Azure); professional certification is an advantage.
- Knowledge in hardware sizing and the ability to define high‑availability, scalable application architectures.
- Banking domain knowledge and understanding of current opportunities and challenges in the financial services industry.
