Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the production of pastries, desserts, cakes and other baked goods.
  • Develop new menu items in collaboration with the culinary team.
  • Manage daily mise en place, baking and decorating tasks.
  • Ensure consistency in taste, appearance and portion control.
  • Monitor stock levels, order supplies and reduce waste.
  • Enforce hygiene and food safety practices (HACCP compliance).
  • Train and supervise junior pastry staff and commis.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry section.
Requirements
  • Minimum 4‑5 years of pastry kitchen experience, with at least 1‑2 years in a lead role.
  • Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Pastry Arts, Hospitality or Tourism or a related field.
  • HACCP Certified with a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation.
  • Proficient in a variety of pastry techniques, doughs and decorations.
  • Creative, artistic and precise with plating and flavor combinations.
