Job description

We are looking for a talented and experienced Pastry Chef to lead the pastry section and craft a variety of baked goods and desserts that meet high standards of taste, texture, and presentation. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for pastry arts and a creative yet detail-oriented mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the production of pastries, desserts, cakes, and other baked goods.
  2. Develop new menu items in collaboration with the culinary team.
  3. Manage daily mise en place, baking, and decorating tasks.
  4. Ensure consistency in taste, appearance, and portion control.
  5. Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and reduce waste.
  6. Enforce hygiene and food safety practices (HACCP compliance).
  7. Train and supervise junior pastry staff and commis.
  8. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry section.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum 4-5 years of pastry kitchen experience with at least 1-2 years in a lead role.
  2. Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Pastry Arts, Hospitality, Tourism, or related field.
  3. HACCP Certified with a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation.
  4. Proficient in a variety of pastry techniques, doughs, and decorations.
  5. Creative, artistic, and precise with plating and flavor combinations.
  6. Excellent team leadership, time management, and communication skills.
  7. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a busy kitchen environment.
