Role Purpose
- Lead business origination efforts by identifying new leads, engaging partners, and building a sustainable pipeline to support ATFP’s mandate.
- Structure, execute, and monitor trade finance transactions, ensuring alignment with product frameworks and full compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
Planning and Strategy
- Contribute to the development of strategic initiatives to grow the trade finance portfolio and support market expansion.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless transaction execution and product innovation.
Job Specific Accountabilities
- Proactively identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities with financial institutions, corporates, and strategic partners.
- Structure and execute trade finance transactions, coordinating closely with credit, risk, and legal functions to ensure proper due diligence and compliance.
- Manage and maintain a dynamic sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and consistent progress towards origination targets.
- Monitor transaction performance and sales activities, preparing regular reports and dashboards for management review.
- Support cross-functional teams in the development and enhancement of trade finance products, based on market feedback and client needs.
- Implement claw-back actions or corrective measures in cases where sales targets are not sustainably met or transactions underperform.
- Maintain thorough records of client interactions, proposals, and transaction status to ensure proper tracking and reporting.
Policies, Processes, and Procedures
- Ensure all trade sales and transaction processes adhere to ATFP’s operational policies, compliance guidelines, and risk management frameworks.
- Support the creation and continuous improvement of procedures related to business origination and transaction execution.
General Accountabilities
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration with internal teams including Credit, Risk, Legal, and Operations.
- Provide support in client relationship management to foster long-term partnerships and repeat business.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through timely service delivery and proactive issue resolution.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, International Business, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in trade finance sales, corporate banking, or business development.
- Fluency in Arabic and English.
- Strong skills in client relationship management, deal structuring, and pipeline management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
Preferred
- Experience structuring trade finance solutions and working closely with credit, risk, and legal teams.
