Job Overview

The NOC Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the Network Operations Center (NOC) activities related to the metro rail project. This role involves monitoring and managing the D&B contractors' network operations during the design review and construction stages to ensure system availability and performance.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Monitor network operations to ensure system availability and performance.
  • Oversee and coordinate network activities of D&B contractors.
  • Review and approve network-related designs and plans submitted by contractors.
  • Conduct regular assessments of network performance and provide feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with network security and operational standards.
  • Coordinate with IT teams to resolve network issues and outages.
  • Maintain documentation of network configurations, changes, and incidents.
  • Provide technical support and training to project teams and contractors.
  • Develop and implement network operation procedures and best practices.
  • Prepare and present network performance and incident reports to stakeholders.
  • Manage network incident response and resolution processes.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers as needed.
  • Oversee network upgrades and maintenance activities conducted by contractors.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Experience in network operations and management.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are preferred.
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in network operations.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols and troubleshooting tools.
  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios).
