A healthcare position for a Monitor Technician Hemodialysis at a leading healthcare provider in Sharjah. This role focuses on monitoring patient vitals and cardiac rhythms during dialysis treatments, ensuring safety and effective communication with the nursing staff. Ideal candidates should have a high school diploma and certification in Basic Life Support, with experience in a clinical setting preferred.
The Monitor Technician Hemodialysis (HD) is responsible for continuous observation and monitoring of patients vital signs and cardiac rhythms during dialysis treatments. This role ensures patient safety by promptly recognizing and reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff and assisting with basic patient care tasks within the scope of training.
Continuously monitor patients cardiac rhythms and vital signs during hemodialysis sessions.
Recognize and interpret arrhythmias and promptly notify the RN or physician of any significant changes.
Document patient monitoring data accurately and in a timely manner.
Assist with setup and maintenance of monitoring equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Perform basic patient care tasks as delegated by the nursing staff (e.g., checking blood pressure, pulse, and oxygen saturation).
Maintain clear and effective communication with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare team members.
Adhere to infection control and safety protocols in the dialysis unit.
Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Respect patient confidentiality and uphold the standards of patient care.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training as a Monitor Technician or Cardiac Telemetry Technician is preferred.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
Prior experience monitoring cardiac rhythms, preferably in a dialysis or acute care setting, is highly desirable.
Ability to recognize basic arrhythmias and respond appropriately.
Strong attention to detail and ability to stay alert for extended periods.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Basic computer and documentation skills.
Work is performed in a dialysis unit or clinic.
May require standing or sitting for extended periods, as well as occasional lifting or assisting patients.
Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and dialysis equipment.
