Qualifications (Minimum)
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory)
- MBA (advantageous)
- PMP certified (advantageous)
Experience (Minimum)
- 10 years of relevant experience, at least 5 years at a supervisory level in operations within the Oil & Gas industry
- UAE experience in Oil & Gas – minimum 3 years (mandatory)
- Proficient work experience in mechanical static and rotating equipment, piping, HVAC and engineering for gas turbine generator/gas compressor projects, or experience as an engineer at a gas turbine and/or gas compressor OEM/vendor for 5 years

Job Description & Responsibilities
- Prepare bidding documents, evaluate bids, conduct clarifications, hold meetings, review designs and engineering drawings, supervise installation and commissioning of gas turbine generator, gas compressor and mechanical rotating and static equipment for installation, replacement, operation and maintenance for current and future projects.
- Assess remaining lifetime of existing facilities through confirmation of existing mechanical equipment system operational risks.
- Accountable for effective implementation and management of mechanical, piping and HVAC engineering activities for assigned projects in company facilities as per quality standards, policies and procedures.
- Key decisions with significant impact on project execution are referred to the supervisor for approval before implementation.
- Coordinate activities with other units and sections within the department.
- Prepare tender documents, evaluate bids, provide technical clarifications and arrange kick‑off meetings for mechanical, piping and HVAC engineering works.
- Review mechanical, piping and HVAC engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications, etc.
- Monitor checks on mechanical, piping and HVAC equipment, provide technicians relevant documentation, support material, tools and guidance to ensure installation/calibration/commissioning activities are carried out as directed while attending to all non‑conformances raised by the team to ensure timely provision of solutions.

- Engineering experience (FEED & EPC), generator engineering
- Mechanical design, equipment installation, commissioning and maintenance
Job Specific Requirements
- Strong knowledge and experience in the application of process operation systems and technology in the Oil & Gas sector.
- Excellent understanding of any discipline engineering, including mechanical (static and rotating), piping, HVAC and instruments.
- Understanding of process engineering principles.
- Understanding of whole system of gas turbine generator and gas compressor packages.
- Drafting skills for EPC tender and contract conditions.
- Analytical thinking, risk assessment knowledge and presentation for improvement plan.
- Time management, multi‑tasking skills, problem‑solving skills.
Additional Requirements
- Engineering experience for new or replacement gas turbine generator and compressor projects as a Mechanical (Rotating) Engineer.
