As a Materials Planning & Execution Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Executing production according to the appropriate instructions.
- Exchanging data and information interaction concerns and improvements in products, processes and procedures.
- Handling standardized manufacturing processes. Guidelines for choosing the right actions. Some latitude in ways of working and planning.
- Leading a small manufacturing unit with a budget of $0.5 million.
- Coordinating and expediting the flow of materials within departments according to production schedules.
- Planning and scheduling material/production needs.
- Coordinating and executing scheduling activities for customer orders using advanced planning system.
- Ensuring that the shop has the necessary materials, configuration records and manpower to meet required manufacturing / production levels.
- Maintaining & managing the planning tracker.
- Releasing workorders to the Warehouse and Shop floor.
- Monitoring implementation of corrective action plans.
- Providing effective scheduling and implementation of all programs based on the Master Schedule, cycle time, shop capacity, hardware / tooling availability, and status to schedules.
- Monitoring supply and demand misalignment using advanced planning system, and collaborating with manufacturing sources to implement corrective action plans.
- Coordinating the efforts of cross-functional groups and across shifts to resolve bottlenecks, parts shortages, manpower issues, and shop capacity.
- Working with shop management to meet order delivery commitments.
- Initiating final equipment inspection and packaging processes.
- Preparing monthly and quarterly production schedule.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from accredited university or college or a high school diploma / GED with at least 2-3 years of experience in a Material Planning capacity in Industrial Valve (Control & Safety Relief) Manufacturing.
- At least 1 additional year of experience in utilizing planning systems.
- Have good experience in working on SAP.
- Be able to speak fluently in English on professional issues.
- Demonstrate effective organizational and time management skills.
- Be able to work independently and have good problem-solving skills.
