Job summary

A leading financial institution in Abu Dhabi is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee CIB and PB operations. The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Business Administration & Finance and a minimum of 3 years' experience in banking operations. Responsibilities include managing team performance, financial monitoring, and improving operational processes. Job description
JOB PURPOSE

Plan lead organize and manage Operations of CIB & PB in line with Bank Policies & Procedures regulatory legal and compliance requirements and Assist in completion of CIB Operations Process related Financial transactions on a day-to‑day basis increasing operational quality/efficiency by providing improvement suggestions for and support to GTB Global Cash Management FI / NBFI and Government clients/Personal Banking. To assist in all activities required to ensure the Service Delivery processing activities of the team are completed within the Service Limit Agreements (SLAs) for the activity in terms of Turnaround Times (TAT) Volume and Quality Assist the team in solving day-to‑day problems and the implementation of continuous improvement project across the Team

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Team Supervision (only for Team leaders and supervisors)
  • Organize and supervise the work of the assigned team to ensure that all work within a specific area of the activity is carried out in an efficient manner which is consistent with operating procedures and policy.
  • Provide on-the-job training and constructive feedback to assigned team to support their overall development.
  • Promote the organizations values and ethics in all activities within the team in order to support the establishment of a value drive culture within the bank.
  • Provide guidance and on the job training for junior colleagues and conduct knowledge sharing to facilitate achievement of team objectives and completion of tasks in an efficient manner which is consistent with operating procedures and policy.

Budgeting and Financial Performance
  • Monitor the financial performance of a given area of activity versus budgets and ensure all activities are carried out in line with the approved guidelines while promptly reporting on any variances to management.
Policies Systems Processes & Procedures
  • Provide inputs and implement policies systems and procedure for the assigned team so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements fulfilled while delivering a quality cost-effective service.
Continuous Improvement
  • Participate in the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems processes and practices considering global standards productivity improvement and cost reduction.
Reporting
  • Prepare sectional statements and reports timely and accurately to meet FGB-NBAD and department requirements policies and quality standards.
Qualifications
  • University Degree in Business Administration & Finance
  • Minimum 3 years experience in operations and managing people within banking environment.
