Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Pullman Dubai Jumeirah Lakes Tower Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilitys systems and equipment. This role requires a detail-oriented and collaborative professional who can efficiently handle a wide range of maintenance tasks while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on various building systems including HVAC electrical plumbing and mechanical equipment
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and guests troubleshooting and resolving issues efficiently
• Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and address potential maintenance issues proactively
• Operate and maintain safety systems including fire alarms and emergency equipment
• Read and interpret technical documents such as blueprints manuals and specifications
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all occupants
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities inventory and equipment status
• Adhere to all safety protocols and local building codes and regulations
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry best practices and new technologies
• Assist in the development and implementation of energy-saving initiatives and sustainable practices

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or in a similar role with a minimum of one year of experience preferred
• Proficiency in various building trades including electrical plumbing HVAC and carpentry
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical systems
• Knowledge of building automation systems and energy management
• Familiarity with safety systems and fire alarm panels
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical documentation
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with fluency in English
• Proficiency in using computer systems including Microsoft Office and maintenance management software
• Physical ability to perform job duties including lifting up to 50 lbs climbing ladders and working in confined spaces
• Flexibility to work various shifts including nights weekends and holidays as required
• Valid UAE work visa or eligibility to obtain one
• College degree in Engineering Facilities Management or a related field is preferred but not mandatory
• Relevant certifications (e.g. HVAC electrical) are highly desirable
• Strong customer service orientation and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
