Job summary

A leading engineering firm in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to be responsible for executing commissioning and maintenance activities related to machinery and packaged equipment. The role requires a strong background in mechanical engineering with 5-10 years of relevant experience in the oil & gas or petrochemical sectors. You will ensure compliance with safety standards while managing subcontractor operations and maintaining project documentation.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience in machinery and package commissioning within oil & gas, petrochemical, or power plant projects.
• Experience in pre-commissioning, functional testing, and troubleshooting of machinery and packages.
• Familiarity with HSE management systems and project quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed pre-commissioning and functional test procedures for machinery.
• Conduct field verification of Discipline Acceptance Certificates.
• Ensure strict adherence to HSE regulations during commissioning operations.
• Supervise and manage the field operations of assigned subcontractor teams.
• Prepare, verify, and submit all commissioning and handover certificates.
