Job description

To help us maintain our high standards of service, we are seeking an experienced and accomplished Logistics Supervisor, to drive both innovation and execution in our busy Transportation network.

Responsibilities

• Deputize for the Operations Manager as required and support the daily management of operational duties.
• Prioritize and continually improve safety at the delivery station; supervise logistics assistants, coordinators and delivery associates to ensure shipments meet and exceed KPIs.
• Monitor coordinator and associate performance, coach them when needed, partner with supporting departments to improve logistics processes and operations, and communicate with our delivery service providers to set expectations and raise the bar on quality of deliverables.
• Interview candidates for associate roles.
• Brief and monitor the workload of all drivers and associates; maintain a keen eye for detail to ensure all administrative tasks are accurately and fully completed; measure and monitor overall workflows and daily metrics; assist the Operations Manager with tracking, trending and reporting on site performance.
• Help with training and mentoring new Associates, ensuring they have the knowledge to carry out their tasks; follow up on and resolve process-related issues as required.
• Be flexible to work in different shifts and to do overtime when needed.
• Resource the function from a personal standpoint, including training needs, absence and performance management, coaching and continuous monitoring of department productivity.
• Comply with national labor laws and applicable legislation in the United Arab Emirates; this position is open to candidates who fulfill the nationality criteria stipulated by local regulations.
