Role Overview

Role: To deliver ADNOC-compliant Lifting & Hoisting Operations training to lifting personnel (Crane Operators, Riggers, Banksmen, APs, MEWP Operators) in accordance with ADNOC Corporate Practice HSE-PSW-CP19 and ensure trainees achieve competence through assessment, coaching, and practical skills development.

Main Responsibilities & Key Result Areas
  • Deliver ADNOC-approved training programs (Crane Operator, Rigger, Banksman, Forklift, MEWP, AP, Rigging Foreman).
  • Conduct classroom theoretical instruction, practical rigging demonstrations, and equipment-based training.
  • Evaluate trainees through written exams, practical assessments, and competency observations.
  • Valid certification in relevant lifting operations (OPITO, LEEA, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a lifting instructional role.
  • Thorough understanding of lifting techniques and industry regulations.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in diverse environments and adapt to different training needs.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
Essential: Curriculum & Compliance
  • Ensure all training materials meet ADNOC Course Design Manual (CDM) requirements and syllabus standards.
  • Participate in ADNOC’s Tutor Dry-Run approval sessions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UAE ADNOC HSE standards, and international codes (LEEA, LOLER, BS 7121, IOGP 376).
Assessment & Competency Assurance
  • Conduct assessments for all lifting roles in accordance with ADNOC requirements.
  • Maintain accurate, auditable training and assessment records.
  • Identify skill gaps and recommend corrective training plans.
Practical Training Supervision
  • Oversee supervised practical training for inexperienced operators (Forklift, Man-lift, Crane Operators, Riggers).
  • Provide coaching on safe lifting practices, rigging methods, equipment pre-use checks, and hazard identification.
Quality & Safety
  • Ensure all training is aligned to ADNOC safety philosophy and ALARP principles.
  • Support incident investigations & corrective actions related to lifting operations.
  • Promote safety culture during rigging and lifting tasks.
