The successful candidate will have Lifeguard certification and First Aid training, and will supervise water sports activities while ensuring compliance with safety standards. This full-time role involves maintaining a safe environment for all guests and associates.

Job description

Ensures the safety of guests and associates within the designated swimming areas during posted business hours.

Possesses Lifeguard certification and is authorized to conduct AR and CPR.

Ensures setup of safety equipment at the beach/pool, including the placement of lifesaving floatation devices along the shoreline/around the pool; correct flag must be displayed during business hours; rescue surfboard/boat ready on the shoreline; first aid kit available; posting of business hours; pool depth; water & air temperatures; wind force & wind speed.

Keeps the designated and marked swimming areas free of engine-driven boats, windsurfers, or sea bikes (pedalos).

Ensures that swimmers/snorkelers are out of boat tracks or hazardous areas.

Supervises the use of windsurf and sea bikes, including guest check-in and check-out, and monitors the actions of windsurfers and other water activity participants.

Responds to emergencies within the hotel resort swimming areas, ensuring rescue boats are available at all times.

Ensures all water sports and pool activities comply with security and safety regulations.

Performs other duties as assigned.

• Properly executes revenue and check control procedures during shifts.

• Prepares and implements tools for shift operations (schedules, floor plans, reservations, checks).
• Addresses daily operational problems such as call-outs and last-minute bookings.
• Remains on the floor during meal periods to ensure coverage.
• Ensures only quality products are served.
• Maintains proper uniform standards for associates.
• Manages repair and maintenance programs through work orders and inspections.
• Rotates stations fairly and manages associate relations, including scheduling and time adjustments.
• Assists staff performance and implements training programs for new and current staff.
• Encourages problem-solving and empowerment among associates to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Establishes effective communication with staff, earning trust and respect, and maintains fair disciplinary procedures per company policy.
• Identifies and recommends incentive programs, new ideas, and operational improvements.
