The Main Event: What You’ll Drive, Build, and Own
The Legal Counsel will work closely with the Legal Director to implement the organisation’s legal strategy and manage a diverse portfolio of legal matters across the GCC. The role focuses on Employment & HR, Disputes & Litigation, Commercial Contracts, and Regulatory advisory.
- Draft and maintain standardized employment contracts across the GCC.
- Advise HR on terminations, disciplinary actions, and employee disputes.
- Ensure company policies comply with evolving labour laws.
- Support the design of regional incentive schemes and compensation structures to ensure local enforceability.
- Implement strategy for managing disputes, litigation, and regulatory inquiries.
- Act as the primary liaison for external counsel across GCC markets.
- Conduct internal fact-finding and evidence collection for litigation or regulatory investigations.
- Manage complaints and claims to mitigate business and reputational risks.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, partnership agreements, technology licensing, and service agreements.
- Support high-value contracts and strategic negotiations led by the Legal Director.
- Develop and maintain standardized contract templates for routine operations.
- Monitor and summarize regulatory updates in real estate, mortgage, and financial sectors across UAE, KSA, and wider GCC.
- Proactively flag relevant regulatory developments to the Legal Director.
- Provide day-to-day legal advisory support to business units to ensure cross-border compliance.
The Perfect Match: What It Takes to Succeed at Huspy
- 3–4 years PQE with demonstrated experience supporting legal operations across multiple GCC jurisdictions; UAE and KSA experience strongly preferred.
- Licensed to practice law in a common law jurisdiction (e.g., UK, US, Australia) and/or a GCC jurisdiction, with strong practical application in UAE and KSA.
- Full fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken), with the ability to review dual-language documents.
- Based in Dubai, UAE.
