Overview

The Legal Counsel will play a key role in providing strategic legal support across global business operations. Reporting to the Global General Counsel, the role will be responsible for drafting and reviewing contracts, advising on corporate governance and compliance matters, managing legal risk, supporting M&A activities, and guiding dispute resolution efforts. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in contract and corporate law, coupled with excellent communication and risk management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents.
  • Advise management on corporate governance, intellectual property, compliance, and employment law.
  • Identify and mitigate legal and regulatory risks across jurisdictions.
  • Support mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and structuring.
  • Manage litigation and coordinate with external legal counsel.
  • Oversee intellectual property matters (trademarks, copyrights, etc.).
  • Develop and deliver legal training to internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure legal documentation and policies are up to date and compliant.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with departments globally.
  • Provide support on insurance and claims handling.
Requirements
  • LLB or equivalent legal qualification is mandatory.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in corporate / contract law.
  • Experience in contract review, regulatory compliance, and M&A.
  • Strong legal drafting and analytical skills.
  • Fluent in English; additional language a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experience in logistics / transport law is an advantage.
