Job summary

A leading rehabilitation center in Abu Dhabi is seeking a laboratory manager to oversee operations and ensure quality services. The ideal candidate will be a qualified physician or clinical scientist with at least 5 years of relevant experience in an accredited clinical laboratory environment. Fluency in English and Arabic is preferred. This position requires proven management skills and knowledge of accreditation requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be a physician (MD) or a clinical scientist with postgraduate specialization.
• Holding a valid license for practice as Clinical Scientist or laboratory manager.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in an accredited laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall operations and administration of the laboratory.
• Ensure that the laboratory meets the needs of clinicians and patients.
• Manage budget preparation and monitoring.

Job description

Position Summary

Responsible for the overall operations and administration of the laboratory, assuring that the laboratory provides for the type and scope of services to meet the needs of ordering clinicians and the patient population served in standard, and Interpretive activities of Laboratory.

Position Criteria

• Must be a physician (MD) or a clinical scientist, holding a post graduate specialization in his/her specialty or an equivalent qualification post obtaining his/her basic degree (MBBS) or (BSc).
• Preferably holding a valid international license for practice as Clinical Scientist or laboratory manger and or holding a license as specialist/ consultant in his specialization.
• Holding a valid current national license to practice as pathologist or clinical scientist
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as qualified specialist/ specialist pathologist/ clinical scientist in an accredited clinical laboratory environment), or in any accredited local hospital.
• Excellent communication skills and inter-personal skills with individuals and across hospital departments.
• Fluency in English and Arabic languages is preferred
• Act with respect to cultural customs and traditions of the UAE

• Knowledge and experience of accreditation requirements
• Knowledge of budget preparation and monitoring is essentia
• Work experience in GCC country in healthcare and regional knowledge of healthcare is advantageous.
