Job summary

A leading culinary recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong culinary background, with a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a professional kitchen, including 1-2 years in a supervisory role. Job description

We are hiring a talented Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in leading daily kitchen operations. If you have a strong culinary background and are ready to step into a leadership role this is the opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations staff and workflow.
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking and presentation across stations.
  • Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff to maintain performance and consistency.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety hygiene and HACCP standards.
  • Monitor inventory, place orders and reduce waste.
  • Help create new menu items and improve existing recipes.
  • Step in to lead kitchen operations during the Head Chef’s absence.
  • Maintain a clean, efficient and organized kitchen environment.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 4‑5 years of experience in a professional kitchen with at least 1‑2 years in a supervisory role.
  • High School or Diploma graduate in Hospitality Tourism or related field.
  • HACCP Certification is required.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • A passion for culinary excellence, creativity and detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage a team efficiently.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment, prep techniques and food cost control.
