About the Job

We are seeking a Junior Sous Chef (National Talent) to join Jumeirah Al Naseem. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist the Sous Chef in supervising kitchen staff and maintaining high cooking standards.
  • Assist in menu planning, recipe creation, testing, and participate in daily meetings with the Executive Sous Chef.
  • Prepare accurate product specifications and standard recipes for system and material management.
  • Plan weekly staff rosters, monitor daily adjustments, and manage overtime, holidays, and absenteeism.
  • Coordinate with the Chief Steward to ensure kitchen cleanliness and efficiency.
  • Train and motivate team members, cook as needed, and uphold Madinat Jumeirah quality standards.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • UAE National status in accordance with government requirements.
  • At least two years of experience in a similar role within a 5-star luxury property or standalone/branded restaurant.
  • A Diploma in Catering; Health & Safety certification is preferred.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Opera PMS (Cloud), and HotSoS.
