ITAM Specialist (L1) Dubai

Excis is a global IT support leader driven by innovation and collaboration. We are looking for a detail-oriented and eager individual to join our IT Asset Management team in Dubai. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity to learn and grow within a global IT environment supporting the full lifecycle of IT assets under the guidance of senior specialists.

What You’ll Do
  • Support the management of the IT asset lifecycle (hardware and software) from procurement to disposal assisting with tasks like receipt deployment tracking and recovery.
  • Help maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the IT Asset Management database and Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
  • Assist in conducting regular audits of IT assets to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Process incoming software license requests and assist with tracking allocations under supervision.
  • Support the asset aspect of the RMA process including coordinating shipping receiving and updating asset records.
  • Collaborate with team members to reconcile asset data and support reporting on asset status.
  • Update service tickets with asset information to ensure real-time accuracy.
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience in an IT support helpdesk or administrative role with a strong interest in moving into IT Asset Management.
  • A foundational understanding of IT assets (hardware/software) and a willingness to learn ITAM principles.
  • Familiarity using ticketing systems (e.g. ServiceNow, Zendesk, Jira) is a plus.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g. data entry, sorting, filtering). Training will be provided for more advanced functions.
  • Any exposure to software licensing or hardware tracking is advantageous but not required.
Soft Skills & Certifications
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • A proactive learner able to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English. Arabic is a plus but not required.
  • ITIL Foundation certification or a willingness to obtain one is a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift/move equipment (up to 25 lbs) for audit and inventory purposes.
