Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified IT Teacher with proficiency in Arabic and IELTS to join a well established school in Al Ain, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Information Technology to students in Cycle 2 and Cycle 3 while ensuring that students achieve their academic goals in a collaborative supportive and engaging learning environment. This is a temporary role with the possibility of extension based on the school’s needs.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Education or a related field.
  • A recognized teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS or equivalent) is preferred.
  • ADEK Appointment letter is required.
  • IELTS 7.0 Band minimum.
  • Proficiency in Arabic (spoken and written) is essential.
Experience
  • At least 35 years of experience teaching IT at the middle and secondary school levels (Grades 6–12).
  • Experience teaching in the UAE or GCC region is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of current IT technologies and digital tools used in teaching and assessments.
Skills
  • Strong understanding of the IT curriculum and educational technologies.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, coding, web development, digital literacy and other relevant IT tools.
  • Arabic language skills are essential for communication with students and parents.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students using a variety of teaching methods.
  • Effective classroom management skills to maintain a productive and respectful learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lesson Planning and Delivery
  • Plan and deliver engaging IT lessons covering topics such as computer programming, digital literacy, web development and networking.
  • Utilize a range of teaching methods including multimedia resources, interactive tools and hands‑on activities to support learning.
  • Tailor lessons to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students in Cycle 2 and Cycle 3.
  • Incorporate Arabic language elements into lessons for Arabic‑speaking students as necessary.
Assessment and Feedback
  • Regularly assess student progress through assignments, quizzes, projects and presentations.
  • Provide constructive and timely feedback to help students improve their skills.
  • Prepare and grade report cards clearly communicating student progress and areas for improvement.
  • Hold parent‑teacher meetings to discuss student progress and academic development.
Classroom Management
  • Foster a positive, respectful and inclusive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to express themselves and actively participate.
  • Enforce the school’s behavior management policies.
  • Ensure the classroom is organized and conducive to productive learning.
Curriculum Support
  • Follow and deliver the school’s IT curriculum while adjusting lesson plans to meet individual student needs.
  • Provide additional support to students who need extra help including one‑on‑one tutoring or afterschool assistance.
  • Encourage the development of critical thinking, problem‑solving and technical skills in the field of Information Technology.
Collaboration
  • Collaborate with other members of the IT Department and school staff to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for continuous improvement in teaching methods.
  • Share best practices and teaching resources with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience.
