Charterhouse are working in partnership with a leading Financial Brokerage firm, who are looking to hire an IT Manager to join their team. The IT Manager will be responsible for overseeing the firm's entire IT operations and infrastructure, ensuring robust security and regulatory compliance, and driving technology strategy across the business.
The role will lead and manage the company’s overall IT function, ensuring all company systems, including Windows servers and core databases are optimised, secure, and aligned with the company’s business goals. Responsibilities also include overseeing maintenance of the integrity of trading operations, specifically addressing and resolving connectivity issues related to Bridge and FIX API systems.
Additionally, the role will collaborate closely with various department heads to assess technical needs and lead the successful implementation of IT projects across the business. Reporting to the Senior Executive Officer, this role will represent the IT function in executive-level discussions, including participation in risk management committees and regulatory reviews. The IT Manager will also manage relationships with third-party vendors, auditors, and regulatory bodies while maintaining a strong internal control environment.
To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field and have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Senior IT role, ideally within a regulated financial environment.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise in IT infrastructure management, including Windows servers, desktop systems, and networking protocols. The candidate will have proven experience in resolving system-related issues, implementing cybersecurity best practices, and supporting risk mitigation and regulatory compliance initiatives.
Proficiency in Excel, scripting languages, SQL databases, and *Unix/Linux (nix) systems is essential. Hands‑on experience with trading platforms such as MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 is required, and familiarity with TT or CQG will be considered a strong advantage. Strong communication skills, the ability to manage disaster recovery planning, and a solution‑focused mindset will be key to succeeding in this role.
