Position Overview

Position Overview — The IT Assistant supports daily technology operations across the company. The role ensures employees have reliable systems, secure access, and efficient troubleshooting for hardware, software, network, and business applications. This position also assists with documentation, onboarding, and vendor coordination.

Key Responsibilities
  • IT Support & Troubleshooting
    • Provide first-level IT support to employees.
    • Handle PC setup, software installation, drivers, and configuration.
    • Troubleshoot email, internet, Wi-Fi, printing, VPN, and security issues.
    • Restore failed equipment and coordinate replacements when required.
  • Hardware & Software Administration
    • Install and maintain company laptops, desktops, phones, printers, and accessories.
    • Maintain an updated log of devices, licenses, and user assignments.
    • Assist with updates, antivirus, and patch management.
  • Network Support
    • Assist with Wi-Fi, routers, switches, and local office connectivity.
    • Help monitor network stability and escalate issues to senior IT or vendors.
  • User Access & Security
    • Create and deactivate user accounts.
    • Support password resets and security policy compliance.
    • Assist with data backup routines and safe document storage.
  • System Onboarding & Documentation
    • Set up new laptops and email access for new joiners.
    • Prepare checklists and guides for employees.
    • Support IT policies for acceptable usage and data safety.
  • Vendor Coordination
    • Follow up with external IT service providers.
    • Track open service tickets and procurement requests.
