Job Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and highly skilled Islamic Studies Teacher with strong proficiency in Arabic and a high IELTS score to join our team at a prestigious school in Al Ain. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons in Islamic Studies while ensuring students engage with the subject in a meaningful way. The ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills both in English and Arabic and have a passion for teaching Islamic education to young minds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching Islamic Studies: Develop and deliver engaging lessons in Islamic Studies covering topics such as the Quran, Hadith, Islamic history, and ethics in line with the school curriculum.
  • Language Proficiency: Ensure effective communication in both Arabic and English, fostering a bilingual learning environment.
  • Student Development: Encourage critical thinking and provide a nurturing environment that fosters the moral and ethical development of students.
  • Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a positive classroom environment conducive to learning, discipline, and respect.
  • Assessments and Reporting: Prepare and deliver assessments to monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students, parents, and school leadership.
  • Curriculum Planning: Collaborate with colleagues to plan, develop, and review the Islamic Studies curriculum.
  • Professional Development: Attend staff meetings, contribute to school events, and continuously pursue professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Islamic Studies, Arabic, or a related field.
  • Language Proficiency:
    • Arabic: Fluent in spoken and written Arabic (native-level proficiency).
    • English: Must have an IELTS score of 6.5 or higher or equivalent proof of proficiency in English.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience in Islamic Studies or related subjects, ideally within an international school or bilingual setting.
  • Knowledge of Curriculum: Familiarity with the UAE Ministry of Education standards for Islamic Studies.
  • Certification: Teaching certification or Diploma in Education is a plus.
