The Role
We are looking for an Insurance Executive to manage and oversee the organization’s insurance programs and coverage across the Group. This role will be responsible for assessing and managing risk, negotiating with insurance providers, and ensuring that appropriate policies are in place to protect the company’s assets, operations, and people.
The Insurance Executive will play a critical role in aligning insurance strategy with business objectives, ensuring compliance, and delivering effective insurance and risk management solutions.
What You Will Be Doing
Strategy & Business Development
- Develop and implement the overall insurance strategy in line with company objectives
- Identify opportunities for product development and new business initiatives
- Analyze market trends, insurer offerings, and competitor activity
- Manage insurance budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics
Insurance Program Management
- Design, implement, and manage comprehensive insurance and risk management programs
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (HR, Legal, Finance, Sales, Operations) and insurance brokers to ensure adequate coverage
- Review insurance policies, endorsements, and related documentation to ensure full and appropriate coverage
- Ensure all insurance requirements align with organizational goals and contractual obligations
- Oversee the governance, administration, performance, and delivery of insurance services across the Group
- Optimize cost, efficiency, and value while adhering to approved budgets and targets
Claims Management
- Manage and oversee insurance claims with brokers and insurers to ensure timely and effective resolution
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and insurers to assess claims and minimize financial exposure
- Ensure claims are redirected to service providers where applicable and contractual terms are clear and robust
- Lead negotiations with insurers to maximize recoveries and resolve disputes
Risk Assessment & Mitigation
- Conduct risk assessments for new and existing policies to identify coverage gaps
- Recommend risk mitigation measures through policy structuring, insurance solutions, and contract terms
- Participate in enterprise risk reviews to ensure integration of insurance into risk management frameworks
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
- Maintain strong relationships with insurance brokers, insurers, underwriters, and reinsurers
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure alignment on insurance needs
- Monitor and review insurance programs across the portfolio
Compliance, Reporting & Contracts
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, mandates, and internal risk policies
- Maintain accurate records of insurance policies, claims, and correspondence
- Prepare regular reports on insurance coverage, claims status, and risk exposure for senior management and the Board
Contract Review and Negotiation
- Review and negotiate insurance provisions in project and commercial contracts
- Ensure insurance coverage meets project finance and contractual requirements

What We Are Looking For
Some of the key competencies required for the role include:
Functional
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Law, Business Administration, or CII Certification
- 4–5 years of experience in insurance management (ideal: 5–8 years)
- Strong knowledge of insurance policies, claims processing, and regulatory compliance
- Proven ability to negotiate with insurers and vendors
- Experience drafting and reviewing contracts
- Strong analytical skills to identify root causes and resolve process issues
- Ability to manage end-to-end insurance processes
- Knowledge of PR to PO cycle
- Proficiency in SAP MM module
Behavioural
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy
- Sound decision-making and prioritization skills

Our Ideal Match
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or professional certifications (CPCU, ARM) are a plus
- 4–8 years of relevant insurance and risk management experience
- Strong stakeholder management skills across cross-functional teams
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage
