Overview

As Indirect Procurement Specialist at Daikin Middle East & Africa, you will play a key role in managing the sourcing of goods and services to achieve availability, cost, quality, and sustainability goals. This role involves managing supplier relationships, identifying potential suppliers, evaluating their capabilities, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that procurement activities align with the company's objectives.

Job Responsibilities
  • Developing and implementing procurement strategies for indirect categories, especially in logistics.
  • Collaborating with Logistics, Business Unit and Sales Teams to understand business needs and driving procurement activities accordingly.
  • Exploring potential suppliers for indirect categories, evaluating their capabilities.
  • Negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships to ensure cost-effective and high-quality services.
  • Monitoring purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services in line with business needs.
  • Maintaining relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable supply and contract management, leading regular KPI reviews with key suppliers.
  • Leading Tender Master Plan for all indirect spends across the region with Logistics & Business Units.
  • Ensuring compliance in all procurement activities, running regular internal audits and health checks.
Requirements

Experience & Knowledge:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in logistics.
  • Experience in other supply chain functions is a plus.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Multinational company experience is an advantage.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business/Statistics or related field of study.
